Information collected by us
Competency Matters collects user submitted information, such as name and e-mail address, to authenticate users and to send notifications to those users relating to service. We may also collect other profile data including but not limited to personal interests, gender, age, education and occupation.
User Profile information and basic information including name, city and country is recorded for use by the administrator. Registered Learners' photo identity may also be recorded for additional information.
We also use a user's e-mail address and or registered mobile number to send schedules of course commencement, interaction and examination, updates, newsletters or news regarding the Services. As a Registered Learner, you must be willing to accept correspondences relating to the introduction of new courses, schedules of interactions, course commencement, examination, updating of your profile and reminding you of the status of your learning profile. Users may choose not to receive e-mail of certain types by changing their "notification" setting or by mailing to us,
Our servers may automatically record information ("Log Data") created by your use of the Services. Log Data may include non- private personal information such as your IP address, browser type, the referring domain, pages visited, your mobile carrier, device and application IDs and search terms. Other actions, such as interactions with our website, applications and advertisements, may also be included in Log Data. This data is used to manage the Website, track usage and improve the Website services. This non-personally-identifiable information may be shared with third-parties to provide more relevant services and advertisements to Registered Learners and visitors to the website. User IP addresses are recorded for security and monitoring purposes. If we haven’t already deleted the Log Data earlier, we will either delete it or remove any common account identifiers, such as your username, full IP address, or email address, after 12 months.
You have total control on the privacy of your information.
Your information will never be sold, exchanged or disclosed to any third party for marketing purposes.
You can browse our website without registration. We may collect and store the information that you voluntarily disclose to us.
When you register for on line course, you need to make the payment online, thus you will be required to share with us your personal information such as name, e-mail address, telephone number, address(s), credit card number, expiration, and CVV number. During the process we store your contact details in our registration system.
Your credit card information is never stored in our system as it is processed by our payment gateway which uses Secure Encryption Technology (SSL). Our payment processing partner is CC Avenue and PayPal.

All Competency Matters Registered Learners will receive information on recently added or updated new courses, schedules of course commencement, examination and interaction, references, price changes and services to their registered mail id and cell phone number.

Interaction with other Learners
As a registered learner you are entitled to communicate with other learners through blog or in interactive session. Competency Matters does not take any responsibility on sharing of information in any form between two or more registered learners. Please be aware that when you share your personal information, that can be used by people to send you unsolicited communication. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other learners. Competency Matters reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other learners.
E commerce Tracking
If you have registered for a course, we may ask you for your personal details and with your authorization, display your details, such as photos, logos on our website or in social media channels.. You should be aware that your publicly identifiable information could be used to send you promotional, unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for your personal information which you have chosen to display. If you are not willing to display your personal profile, you may write to us as firstname.lastname@example.org.
Data disclosure to CC Avenue and PayPal
We may disclose your personal information to CC Avenue, our payment gateway partner and its corporate family for the following purposes:
to prevent, detect, mitigate, and investigate potentially illegal acts, fraud and/or security breaches, and to assess and manage risk, including to alert you if fraudulent activities have been detected on your account, to provide customer services, including to help service your account or resolve disputes (e.g., billing or transaction l disputes),
to facilitate the processing of payment cards when you pay for our Services through CC Avenue or PayPal.
We use reasonable measures to protect information of registered learners that is stored within our database, and we restrict access to the information to those employees who need access to perform their job functions, such as our administration and technical staff. Please note that we cannot guarantee the security of learner’s account information. This Agreement is accepted upon your use of the Competency Matters Website or any of the Competency Matters Services and is further affirmed by you becoming a Registered Learner. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Competency Matters regarding the use of the Competency Matters Services. The failure of Competency Matters to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this Agreement shall not operate as a waiver of such right or provision. The section titles in this Agreement are for convenience only and have no legal or contractual effect. This Agreement operates to the fullest extent permissible by law. If any provision of this Agreement is unlawful, void or unenforceable, that provision is deemed severable from this Agreement and does not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.

Rescheduling PolicyIn case Competency Matters reschedules any course or any service the learner would have the privilege of rescheduling and attending the event in future at his/her convenience. Please note that rescheduling will be subject to availability of facilities and infrastructure. Cancellation & Refunds
We endeavor that our learners always have a seamless experience while they register, access our courses and services. Competency Matters reserves the right to postpone/cancel a scheduled service because of insufficient enrollments, faculty illness or force majeure events (like floods, earthquakes, political instability, etc.)
If the cancellation request is initiated by the learner within 48 hours of payment of fees, 10% of total paid fee will be deducted as administration charges.
If the cancellation is done by the learner after 48 hours of payment, no refund will be made.Refund request can be initiated by sending message from your registered cell phone number or by sending mail from your registered email address. Refunds: Duplicate payment
System prohibits learners to pay fees for courses already registered with. Refund of the duplicate payment if made by the learner will be processed within four weeks of receiving the refund request.
